CERTIFICATE IN
APPLIED ARTS & CRAFTS
The Certificate in Applied Arts and Crafts (AAC) is designed to support the development of professional studio artists, teachers, and students interested in a career in fine and applied arts. Students completing this certificate will study foundational studio art courses preparing them to pursue a range of career paths in the arts. The AAC certificate also includes all required studio art courses for the Associate of Fine Art (AFA) at UNM-Taos enabling students to matriculate directly into the AFA degree. Courses include a variety of studio disciplines, including art practices, drawing, graphic design, painting, sculpture, ceramics, metals, photography, electronic art, and printmaking, as well as art history courses.
